New Year Eve

Morning,
it is another 'sticky day' in Palmy...

Well, today is the final day of 2008...Sadly I am worrying about my PhD... Happily I am still surviving... all good, all good.

This year was kind of emotional roller coaster. Lots of things happened... sadness, happiness, worries, anger... lots lots of those. Oh, do not forget, I was able to visit Europe!! Really really love to travel there once again when everything is completed.

Anyway, everyone, a big big thank you for making my year exciting and joyful :)

Here is my favourite quote from Ally McBeal...

"If you think back and reply your year, if it doesn't bring you tears either of joy or sadness, consider it wasted."

I may or may not off to another trumping from today... If I am not updating my blog tomorrow, I have finally decided to go and will be back on Friday. If I am updating this anytime today or tomorrow, I have decided to work on my PhD (which I feel that I should be doing...) sigh sigh...

Dearest my family - love and peace - hopefully, nothing's going wrong today... I am no kidding, guys.

Have a nice New Year Eve, everyone!!

Big hugs,
Tomo xoxo

Dear Massey...

Morning,

it is a very humid day in Palmy...

You do not believe what had happened to me just now...
So, I woke up early as usual to go to Massey as I was feeling a little motivated to do some work in my cubicle from today... then I went to my building and used my security card to enter into the building... geeeeee.... the card did not work!! So, I thought that this might be an error with this particular door... I went around to the other side of the building and tried a few more doors... geeeee... not working again, again , and again....

So disappointed with you, Massey !! - The university could warn me before the Christmas... so so disappointed with you... sigh sigh...

Ended up going to the CountDown to get a few things on the way back to home... Some dairy food were so cheap as the shop will be closing on 1st of January... felt a little better after finding some cheap food...

Oh dear me...

p.s., today's video was taken by me... just ignore my funny noise....hahaha... Day 2 in Tongariro.

Me back in Palmy...

Morning,

I am safely back in Palmy with Mr Yang from Tongariro yesterday evening!! I have really enjoyed 4 days of walking(even though I had to brow my nose every 15 minutes- hahaha- poor my nose...).
This year's our "Annual Christmas Tramping" (everybody welcome to join with us next year!!) was quite different from last year because Tongario North Circuit is more dry and rocky to walk than the Lake Waikaremoana. Oh, we have managed to camp all 3 nights!!  Mr Yang was curring our tent all the ways... His shoulder is bruised pretty badly... Thank you. My new sleeping bag was so warm!! - good good.
Two stinky trampers, Mr Yang and I, had nice long shower and yummy food last night to cerebrate our completion!! Doing a  trumping helps me think about a few things... I always appreciate all the convenient things we have in our daily lives... makes you realise how comfortably we are living our day to day life... makes you realise some things are not so necessary for our survival...

Lots to share some interesting stories with you guys - maybe I shall write a little by little during this week with some photos :)

I shall up load some photos once I combine some photos with Mr Yang's ones.

Right to - better do some washing and get on with study...

Have a good week,
Tomo xoxo

I am a comet...

So sunny honey day... but I am in my cubicle :(

I have just compited one task which I was determined to get it done by the end of the day - good job, tomo.

While I was having my late lunch, I find this "Christmassy" quiz...

Santa's Reindeer Personality Test

Here is my results...

You are the Comet personality! and what a personality does this Reindeer have!  Comet is quite the guy!  Now, he has a huge stubborn streak and he's very stronged willed, but he's not afraid of much if anything at all.  He's a tough guy, Comet is.  He makes a great leader and he can keep himself focused on the task at hand.

Santa says:"Comet may be stubborn, but he's also tenacious.  If we need something done, done well, and done right we know that Comet is just the man for the job!"g done, done well, and done right we know that Comet is just the man for the job!"

another week, another day, & another hours...

Morning,
another week in my cubicle... It is a sunny day in Palmy.  I did early washing this morning, poor mr Yang, I bet it woke him up early... ( too bad :P)
Today is the last day for all Massey staff, which means the car parking is going to be free from tomorrow!! yes!!
As I drove down to the campus, thinking it might be a good idea to bike here sometimes. That would be a good excise, I recon. Anyway, let's see...

A photo of the day is from Yasu.  Mt Fuji...

Right to - I must start my day...

Have a good week,
Tomo xoxo

My coffee corner, Whararata, will be closing from tomorrow afternoon till 20th January!! Oh dear.... I shall bring in my own coffee machine from next week, eh? hahaha... that would be so funny... Oh, come to realise, there is an espresso machine in the staffroom...

I am butter pecan...

Hello...

I am feeling cold today, rapping around myself with my woolly bracket...sigh sigh....

Today is my working from home day though not that productive... sigh sigh...

warm weather would help me energise!

anyway, here is a fun quiz "What Ice Cream Flavor Are You?"

whoosa...

Tomo xoxo

Butter Pecan

Butter Pecan ice cream types are organized, put-together, and generally valued for their fairness, efficiency and lack of pretension you won't see a Butter Pecan type putting on airs. In fact, it may be hard for a no-nonsense Butter Pecan type like you to express yourself at all, even though you're privately quite sympathetic and observant. No doubt you like to plan ahead and take charge, which means you're often over-committed. When it comes to romance and relationships, you're most compatible with your own kind other Butter Pecan types who appreciate hard work and good sense. Fun fact: Butter Pecan is tied with Strawberry for the third most popular ice cream flavor.

my big toy...

Morning,

I have managed to make myself to come to the cubicle this morning.
good good. Good effort...

I have invested some of my saving to buy a "big toy" (NoNo... educational investment :) yesterday. I always hope to get a piano, but a little expensive for me for now - will get it when I start to really work...

Looks really flash, eh? (actually this is much cheaper than one of those flash cellphones... ) lucky it was a Christmas sale - free headphone and a textbook included!

I spent hours with my new keyboard (think about a name soon...) yesterday - such a fun!! My fingers are not moving as fast as use to be. hahaha...  Still remember how much I hate to practice it everyday when I was a little. But, it is funny that I still love it and miss playing it well...

Have a good week,
Tomo xoxo

hummus lady...

Hello...

it is another sunny day in Palmy. I woke up just before 7 am and had urge to do some washing!
Then I have decided to cook some chick peas (which I have left them in water from yesterday) and started to make some homemade hummus.

I have used about 500g chick peas and boiled them for 40 minutes or less... then I have decided to wake Mr Yang to join me for blending and tasting them (well, it was his idea to try some, anyway...)
So, here we were, around 8:30 am, two grownups were making homemade hummus :)
Well, I have ended up as a kitchen hand during this cooking activity - Mr Yang was having fun with blending and tasting (as you can imagine...)

We made about 2 liters of hummus!!! ha hahaha...Very gussy, eh?  hahaha...
My energy is all gone now...

Have a sunny Sunday

sushi saturday...

Hello...

It was another sunny Saturday in Palmy.

I woke up fairly early again, so that I woke Mr Yang up to go to our local flea morning market. As Xmas is getting closer, things are getting expensive...

We then went to Kathmandu to have a look my sleeping bag - my new sleeping bag is so warm :) no  more cold night. I have just attempted to sleep in the living room - quite good!!  I shall do a little camping in our garden sometime soon.

After lunch, we have decided to go for a short hike - it was a really good excise.

I was feeling a little "Japanese" today - I have suggested Mr Yang to make some sushi for tea.
I cut everything nicely and made it easy for Mr Yang to roll... but his sushi tower is not very pretty... sigh sigh...
Anyway, good effort...

Back to PhD tomorrow...

love my horoscope for today...

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18) You don't have to be busy every day. There's a fine line now between productivity and wasted energy. If you feel like hibernating, let yourself do it. Positive change follows this fallow time.

hahaha - sounds so good to me!!
Whoosa...
